FAQs
What is Business Science Daily?
Business Science Daily (BSD) is an independent platform that comments on and brings together academic research in business, management and economics. We pick out peer-reviewed research and put it in context, so that scholarly knowledge is easier to reach for educational and informational purposes.
We are a standalone editorial project. We are not affiliated with any academic institution, journal, publisher, ranking body or research organization.
How do you select and curate content?
We follow a set editorial process, so that what we publish is accurate, transparent and academically sound:
- Source vetting: We use publicly available peer-reviewed journals, working papers, datasets and institutional repositories, such as Elsevier, Sage, Emerald, NBER and SSRN.
- Different kinds of material: We may draw on research articles, statistical outputs, figures, tables, images, datasets and supplementary materials. All of it remains the property of its original authors and publishers.
- Relevance and timeliness: We give priority to recent studies, and we include foundational or historically important work when it fits.
- Selection criteria: We choose studies for their methodological rigor, empirical strength, theoretical contribution and relevance to business and management.
- Independent synthesis: We rewrite findings as original summaries and analysis. We do not reproduce full academic works.
- Verification: We check claims against the original publications and give citations and links where we can.
- Contextual analysis: We read findings against the wider academic and industry debates.
We offer independent synthesis, interpretation and context for publicly available academic research, with full credit to the original sources.
Is Business Science Daily connected to ScienceDaily?
No. We are entirely independent. There is no affiliation, partnership, endorsement, ownership link or institutional relationship between us and ScienceDaily.
ScienceDaily is a separate, well-established science communication outlet with its own editorial structure, branding and history. We focus specifically on research in business, management and economics, and we work with our own editorial scope, selection process and way of publishing.
Any similarity in the names is only descriptive and points to science communication in general. It does not mean we are affiliated with, imitating or associated with ScienceDaily or any other publication. We do not represent, copy or derive from ScienceDaily in any way, and our identity and purpose are clearly separate.
Are you affiliated with journals, researchers, universities, or ranking systems?
No. We are fully independent. We have no affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or institutional relationship with any academic journal, publisher, researcher, university or journal ranking system, including ABS, ABDC, FT or similar frameworks.
When we mention academic bodies, it is for information only and does not imply endorsement or collaboration.
We do not claim ownership of any outside academic material, including research articles, datasets, images, figures, tables or statistical outputs. These remain the intellectual property of their original authors and publishers.
What we offer is our own synthesis and interpretation of publicly available research. Any extra commentary or framing is our editorial view and should not be attributed to the original authors or institutions.
How do you use AI in your workflow?
We use AI tools only for language refinement, formatting and structural support. We do not use them to generate or change research findings.
Everything is reviewed by hand, fact-checked and edited before it is published. You can read more in our AI Policy.
How do you ensure transparency and integrity?
- Full attribution: All content includes clear citations and links to the original sources.
- Independence: Journals, publishers and ranking organizations do not fund or influence us.
- No misrepresentation: We do not present ourselves as a journal, publisher or academic institution.
- Error correction: When a mistake is identified, we correct it promptly.
